Environmentally-Friendly Lyptus Kitchens

The photos below are a sampling of the kitchens designed by Royal Cabinet Company featuring the Environmentally-Friendly Lyptus wood.

Lyptus is a natural hybrid of the Eucalyptus grandis and E. urophylla.  It grows in abundance in Brazil, and can be harvested in just 14 to 16 years, rather than the typical 50 to 70 years for wood species you are more accustom to.  Lyptus has the look of  mahogany, and is harvested without clear-cutting rain forests, so often associated with mahogany.

The British Empire influenced kitchen features Lyptus cabinets and a Bombay styled paint and glazed island.  Lyptus wood is the 21st century answer for the person who loves the richness of mahogany but wants a kitchen built from ecologically sustainable forest resources.
